IndexNow
IndexNow is an open protocol that lets a website instantly notify search engines such as Bing, Yandex or Seznam about new and changed pages.
IndexNow – explained simply
Instead of waiting for a crawler, the website actively reports changes. Google does not use IndexNow so far – sitemaps and Search Console remain important there.
Setup is simple: a key file on the website and an automatic notification after each publication.
Practical tip for Swiss SMEs
Combine IndexNow for Bing and others with an up-to-date sitemap in Google Search Console.
